Term 1 - week 7
Zara received our 'Star of the Week' award for being a responsible learner who shows respect towards others. Zara works hard to achieve her goals and enjoys sharing her success with others. She takes advice to improve her work and always listens carefully to the ideas that others are sharing. Well done Zara!
We received the 'we care award' again! It was only a few weeks ago that we last won this so the Ti Kouka students must be doing a great job of keeping our class tidy! Are you all keeping your bedrooms tidy too?
We had our supermarket trip and learned that quite a few of the foods we are eating a lot of should really just be occasional foods if we want to stay healthy.
The students started sketching and colouring their AMAZING perspective drawings. These are going to look incredible on our wall!
The Red Cross gave us a certificate of thanks because of our school fundraiser to help with the disaster in Fiji. This was all kicked off with a letter Talei wrote suggesting this wonderful idea!

Term 1 - Week 5
William received the 'Physically Active Learner Award'.
William always throws himself into any outdoor activity and displays a strong sense of fair-play.
He is supportive of others during games and brings a positive attitude to each activity.
William is involved in Rippa Rugby and cricket and loves zooming along on his scooter.
Well done William, keep it up!
We are about to begin looking at healthy food choices.
We wrote about watermelons and of course this meant chopping one up to eat!
We have been looking at perspective in our art, making things up close appear
larger than those far away
We have been writing about dragons and also did art related to this topic.
