Term 4 - Week 7

Saskia received our 'Star of the Week' for the fantastic effort she put into our athletics training and our dance sessions.  Jump Jam just wouldn't be the same without your big smile Saskia!

Superheroes or a couple of villains?

We have been using crepe paper and LOTS of pva glue to create beach landscapes.

 We started our tennis lessons this week.

Term 4 - Week 6

Mia received our 'Star of The Week' award this week for being a respectful and responsible learner.

Mia is always respectful when others are speaking and is always ready with a helping hand.

Mia takes pride in her work and is always ready for each lesson.  Well done Mia, keep it up...boomshakalakaa!!

Term 4 - Week 5

Amelia was awarded the Principal's Challenge Award for being a physically active learner.

Amelia has a strong sense of fair-play and is always supportive of the efforts of others.  

She is always keen to do Jump Jam and get stuck into a  game of dodgeball.

Amelia has been putting heaps of effort into our athletics training for the big day on Wednesday! Well done Amelia....keep it up!

We were awarded the 'We Care Award' for having a tidy classroom, yay!

 We have been using maths buddies to help each other with stage 5 strategies which involve using tidy tens and splitting number up to make problems easier to solve.

 Our athletics training continues as we get ready for Wednesday the 18th.

 We have been creating our own super heroes for writing.

Jayden and Xavier shared theirs with the class...thanks boys!

 Sometimes for fun we do 'supermarket maths' and use brochures to shop for food as we try to stay within a set budget.

Term 4 - Week 5

We have been creating our own diamond poems, the structure is 1 noun, 2 adjectives, 3 verbs, 4 nouns (switching to the next topic halfway), 3 verbs, 2 adjectives, 1 noun:

Term 4 - Week 4

Hannah received our 'Star of the Week' award for bringing a positive attitude to school each day and for behaviour that displays The Birchwood Way. Well done Hannah!

 We had our trip to animal farm, thanks so much to all of our awesome parent helpers, we can only have trips like this because of people like you!

 The piglets were definitely a favourite.

 These creatures needed to be fed too!

Term 4 - Week 3

Jordan received our 'Star of the Week' award for being super organised and showing respect for others. 

Well done Jordan, you are AWESOME!!

 For maths we had to pretend we were programming a robot to follow a set of directions/instructions and then test it on a classmate.

 We had some little puppies join us for buddy reading!

 Saskia and Jade shared a big book with us.

 Our new sports uniforms look AMAZING!
