Sign Language in room 7: Team time presentation.

Aislinn: 1. In class we have been learning lots of different words in New Zealand sign. Including: the song make you mine, our colours, our food and drinks, our family, animals and we have been playing heaps of sign games to help us learn all these things.

Aliyah: 2. We will now sign our names to show you one of the things we have learnt.

Lucy M: 3. We will now teach you how to sign: Make you mine.

Volcano senses By Jade

I can hear...the rocks crumbling ,tumbling and bashing.I can hear the rocks falling and crashing.I can hear sounds like things getting burnt.I can hear booming volcano.I can hear rumbling,grumbling and tumbling.I can hear sounds like earthquakes.
I can feel...the smoky air going across my face.I can feel burning hot air coming of the brown hard volcano ground.I can feel the smoky hot burning air coming off the hot steaming burning air lava.I can feel the trees swishing and swaying falling over when I rush past.I can feel the burning squirting lava tingling on my face.I can feel the hot ash bouncing off my face.I can feel pretty scared of the volcano.
I can taste...almost the strong hot ash jumping over the laver.I can taste hot as steaming ash.
I can see... red burning hot lava.I can see watery slashing flowing lava.I can see smoky black sleeping rocks.I can see erupting smoky ash. I can see crumbling bashing volcanos.I can see three round volcanos erupting.I can see snow getting melted.I can see burning towns.I can see new land being created.I can see the white smoky clouds in the sky.

I can see lava spitting out of the top of the volcano. I can see stinky smelly smoke floating over hot burning pools of lava. I can see hot burning bits of wood in big deep craters. I can see rising smoke above a big pile of ash. I can see the black, dark, scary, dangerous, rumbling sky. I can see red hot burning lava going around broken trees. I can see a new land coming to the town. I can see dangerous dark clouds. I can see shaking, rumbling houses. I can smell hot burning, smokey air and I can feel burning rocks under my cold feet. I can see burning dying flowers and burning hot steaming smoke. I can hear rumbling, tumbling and booming scary noises. I can smell dirty black smoke. I can feel the smoky air going across my face. I can feel the burning hot air going all around my hot little body. I can feel the brown hot burning volcano burning my little cold feet. I can feel the vibrating ground. I feel scared and sad and brave and frightened all at the same time! I feel a burning hot scary breeze sneaking up behind me!!! I can see a new world coming soon. I can taste disgusting, yucky, dark, clouds trying to get into my mouth. I can taste yucky air trying to make my mouth dry up...... I can smell fresh air now because the volcano has stopped erupting and I can see a new land now.

  VOLCANO SENSES


I can see red hot burning lava mixing with the hot black heavy ash.I can hear the hot melting burning lava rushing down the burnt black browny volcano.Ican smell hot black burning ashes burning with the hot melting red lava.I can almost taste the strong black heavy ash.Ican feel the grey hot smokey air running up from the boiling hot melting lava.

What if pigs could go to school. By Aislinn and Room 7

What if pigs could go to school?

No pig could play with me because their hooves wouldn't be able to grip onto the bars in the playground. If a pig was at my table he wouldn't be able to write, read, study or open doors! Hopeless I would say. They would learn a lot. The children probably would be scared of them and hid out in the bathroom. When the teacher asks a pig a question they would just oink and we wouldn't know what they are trying to say. They would get the classroom all muddy and go to the bathroom in the classroom! Because thats what pigs do. YUCK! We would have to put a nappy on them and they would make big farts. They would get the children all muddy too. If you didn't like apples they would eat them for you.

In room 7 we wrote creative starters every morning this is an example of one of the prompts we used.

B.U.I.L.D Maths

In room 7 we are going to be using the B.U.I.L.D system for our maths program. Here is a wee presentation of how the system works so you get an idea of how Maths in room 7 is going to happen this term. I am excited to use this system and see how much the students will come to love Maths :)
