Term 2 - Week 8

Ella-Rose was awarded our 'Star Student' award for the effort she has put into her work, especially in maths, and for having a positive attitude, keep it up Ella-Rose!

I would like to thank all the wonderful Kapa Haka members (and parents) who did such an amazing job of cleaning my car at your carwash on Sunday....it looks sparkly new now!  All I had to do was watch and eat my yummy cheese rolls! If you missed out on having your car washed by these keen beans then they are doing it all again on Sunday the 21st....so please get down there and show your support.
Mr Pearson.

Mr Pearson had some testing to do so Mrs Pearson took the class....
and when Mrs Pearson is in the room that means it's Art O'Clock!
We looked at pictures of Māori pounamu designs and bone carvings and used salt dough to make our own.  Soon they will be hard enough to wear!

A straw was used to make a hole so that when it dries some string can be threaded through.

A reminder that the Kapahaka car wash fundraiser is THIS Sunday (14th June) and Next Sunday (21st).  They are starting both days at 12pm through until 3pm at the Tyre General on Tahunanui Drive.

They would really appreciate it if each Kapahaka student was able to attend the car wash - even if only for an hour.  If you have a sponge, bucket or other car wash gear please bring it along on the day.

They will be making rolls on Friday morning (from 9am) at school for the soup fundraiser part.  Please feel free to help out with this (meeting in the hall kitchen).
